Family Day at an Apple Farm

We’re back again this year to Tave’s Family Farm! We went last year for the first time and we had a blast!

This year was a little different since Jay is a year older and he actually participated in the activities instead of sleeping in a stroller like last time.

The thing we were most excited about is the giant bouncing pillow! It’s like a giant trampoline except it’s a pillow.

I thought Jay would love the pillow since Elle loved bouncing on it last year but he had a full on freak out when we put him on… I held him and we bounced gently….but he didn’t like that either…maybe next year he’ll like it.

While I was calming Jay down, Elle decided to explore a pulley with a dish of grains to feed the goat at the top of the rope.

One of the activity everybody really enjoys is apple picking (and eating) =) We also picked plums and Asian pears.

I really love Tave’s Applebarn because there is so many fun activities to do there and they are all kid friendly. We spent ½ a day at the farm and that’s only because they were closing.

Aside from the bouncy pillow, they also have hay rides, a petting zoo with goats and other animals, a zip line, corn maze, pumpkin patch and of course, apple u-pick.

There are also other activities like a pumpkin cannon and pony rides which we really wanted to do but that’s only available on the weekends.

And just like last year, I had to get this girl back in the same spot with the beautiful light for some Elle photos.
