I’m a big fan of things that helps us parents connect and bond with our children.
This holiday, I put together this gift guide with a list of great Christmas gifts for kids that’ll help us parents strengthen our relationship with your children.
If you’re a busy parent, you’d know how much time it takes to come up with activities to do with your kids, let alone get the materials.
Kiwi Crate really is the best gift for busy parents. They deliver a craft kit of 2 activities right to your door. They even put together a magazine that you’d get in each box that is filled with more fun things for you to do with your children.
These activities helps my daughter learn and develop new skills. It makes me feel like I’m doing a good job as a parent because we are spending quality time together doing something fun and learning together.
If you’re looking for personalized gifts, I See Me have got your covered. They offer a variety of personalized storybooks, puzzles, colouring books, puzzles and even stickers – all personalized with your child’s name.
The cool thing with these books is you can get a ‘tour’ (preview) of what the book looks like before you purchase it, like the ones below.
On my wish list is this My Very Own Fairy Tale Storybook since my 3 year old little girl is into all things princess and this My Very Happy Birthday board book for my son will will (all too) soon be 1. I think my kids will feel very special knowing this book was create only for them.
I LOVE this game! It teaches kids balance, colour matching, hand-eye coordination and cooperation. This is a game I play with my 3 year old and I don’t get bored (yes, I’ll admit it…some games like Chutes and Ladders get really boring…). There are 3 levels to play Stack Up!so children of different ages can play together, perfect for siblings. Here is a little video of why I think it’s great.
This is such a GREAT gift to know your kids and family better. It’s a cube of thought provoking questions designed to encourage conversations between you and your family.
In the Family Version, there are silly questions like ‘what would be a really good flavor for toothpaste?’ to teaching moments questions like ‘if you wanted to earn $50, how would you like to earn the money?
This gift is not just for kids. My husband and I use the Original Version on our date nights and it helped us get to know each other better in a fun and non-judgemental way.
This game will get your whole family laughing for a good hour! It gets you doing really random and silly stunts and asks crazy questions that’ll really get your creativity and imagination going.
The last time I played it, I had to take off my left sock for the player to my right so they could sniff it 3 times! I honestly have not laughed so hard in ages! At one point, I had to stand up and basically not move because I wasn’t allowed to bend my arms and legs.
