The Portrait Project {Week 27 & 28}

A portrait (or a few) of my children…because photos should been seen and shared. These photos will be going into the kid’s year end Blurb book.

elle’s portraits (week 27)

This week we’re redecorating Elle’s room and finally moving all her pictures hanging in Jay’s room into her room.

This is a big deal!

Jay took over Elle’s baby room when he was born and we never redid the room. The poor boy has been sleeping in a room filled with pictures of his big sister and not any of him.

With this project, I decided to add a couple book shelves to her room since she has so many books. Of course we had to get our handy Grandpa to put up the shelves and of couse Elle has to ‘help’.

And of course, the little boy has to get in on the action too!

And that night, I found these 2 reading a book illuminated by the smart phone.

This boy is so good. He’s content playing by himself while I make dinner. This usually last for about 15-20 minutes then he’ll crawl to me whinning for me to pick him up.

This girl is all about singing Frozen. I don’t ever know what the song is called but there is ‘let it go’ a lot.

And this song is stuck in my head. All. The. Time.

She asks us to play it on the phone for her while she stands on our old TV stand as a stage for her performance. She recently got a microphone from a friend and it’s being put to good use.

When this girl is ‘on stage’, she’s all in. Her emotions, actions, mannerism is all about her performance. She even uses the curtain as a prop and wraps herself around it or hold on to it for more emphasis.

This week is a big week for boyboy. He official got his first haircut!

His first unofficial haircut was done by Grandma. And if you ask her, she’ll say it never happened.

and a couple more…

I was taking some photos of Jay for Portrait Project and the little girl just had to get in on the action too. She found a bag of John’s pistachio and decided to ‘hide’ in my office to eat it while I was photographing Jay.

And this photo I have to throw in because this is what these 2 are like most of the time: Jay running away from Elle while she’s being loud and obnoxious…well, being Elle.
