The Portrait Project {Week 12} and a Flash Giveaway

A portrait of my children…because photos should been seen and shared.

My goal is to use these images for an ‘end of the year’ photo book for each of my children. It’s a gift for me as well as for them.

jay, elle and santa’s portrait

This week has been a super exciting week for us.

We started our week with Family Day where we went to Lougheed Town Centre for pictures with Santa.

As you can see, the little guy is not happy sitting on the big guy and is very vocal about it. The poor photographer pulled out all his tricks and was SO enthusiastic to get him to calm down but the little dude just would not have it. It’s alright, he’ll come around and learn to love the big guy.

There is a $50 gift card giveaway at the end of this post.

Look! He’s starting to crawl on his knees!

This guy’s been army crawling for the past few months so it’s nice to see he’s getting stronger to crawl on his knees.

His left front tooth is on its way out so he’s drooling and having a runny nose like crazy.

Oh yes we did! The little girl and I went to Disney World! We flew all the way across and down the continent to see Minnie Mouse and all the other princesses.

On this trip, one of my mission is to ask the princesses if they wear pants.

I know it’s an odd question but lately the little girl have been refusing to wear pants because ‘princesses don’t wear pants’ she says.

So we went to Disney World to find out!

And the answer? Yes they do!

Cinderella wear pants when she’s doing chores. (Future note for Elle: princesses do chores too!)
Snow White wear pants when she’s helping the dwarfs in the coal mine.
Sleeping Beauty wear bloomers.
Jasmine of course wear pants.
Ariel is the only one who doesn’t wear pants.

and now a giveaway!

Lougheed Town Centre is so kind to give one of you lovely readers a $50 gift certificate to spend at their mall.

If your kids haven’t gotten their Santa pictures yet, Lougheed Town Centre is the BEST place to go because they offer a ‘Santa paging system’ where they’ll call you when it’s your turn to meet the big guy. If you purchase anything at the mall, they’ll also wrap your first 3 gifts for FREE! How about that for saving time?
