The Portrait Project {Week 10}

A portrait of my children…because photos should been seen and shared.

My goal is to use these images for an ‘end of the year’ photo book for each of my children. It’s a gift for me as well as for them.

This week for family day, we went to a U-cut tree farm to get a Christmas tree. The little girl had so much fun running around searching for  THE tree.

This one she’s leaning on was THE one. Halfway through cutting it, we realized someone peed on it. Yes, you read that right. Someone PEED on this tree and it smelled. So we continued our hunt.

Then we found this one below. A 6 foot grand fir without pee. It smells incredible. The little girl ‘helped’ push the tree over and carried it to the car.

I’m so proud of her for always wanting to help and get involved.

Ah, here is her fake smile again.

My boy with his daddy.

I hope Jay will forever look up to his dad and be as kind and gentle as him.

Note to self…next time we go to a U-cut, make sure the husband is not carrying your baby AND a saw at the same time.
