Images by Bethany Review and Giveaway

For the longest time, probably even before I had children, I’ve always wanted pictures that show how much my littles and I love each other – photos of us playing together, cuddling together and loving on each other.

Bethany of Images By Bethany fulfilled that wish for me.

When I communicated my vision to Bethany, she knew exactly what my heart was looking for. I think it’s because we are both mothers and we both are memory keepers of our family which makes us always behind the lens instead of being in front of it.

Our photo shoot took place in Bethany’s studio. I picked that location because it gets the most beautiful light and the space is very simple and clean with no other distractions. I want the images to be about us, not about the environment we’re in.

When we got to the studio, Elle was herself right away and Jay needed a few cuddles before being himself which was fine with me since I wanted images of us doing that.

Bethany was very thoughtful in the way she gently ‘posed’ us and still gave us room for our natural personalities to come through. She was very patient waiting for Jay to come out of his shell and was ready with the camera when he showed her how cheeky he could be.

With every shot, she made sure everyone was looking good at an angle that suits us best. This is especially true for me, since you’ve all seen my double chin in those selfies we take =)

I’m a firm believer that photos should be seen and shared. Even before our photo shoot, I knew I wanted to display these photos in our home in sets of 2, 3 or 4.

Bethany has a line of really beautiful and timeless print options from linen covered albums to huge bamboo wall arts.

I went with her archival-quality gallery box. In her words, ‘it’s a custom, hand-made, linen-covered box filled with matted 8×10 prints. The perfect item if you don’t have a lot of wall space or want to be able to switch the images from time to time.

I really, really love this print option since it gives me the freedom to rotate the images and update it with new ones. With the images that are not on display, they are kept safe in the beautiful linen-covered box which is a display item on its own.
